What is an indoor cycling bike?

An indoor cycling bike is a stationary fitness bike designed for intensive cycling workouts. Its adjustable saddle and handlebars allow a riding position closer to a road bike than a conventional upright exercise bike. Many models use a resistance knob to let you adjust how hard you pedal.

How does it differ from an upright exercise bike?
