End caps and frame plugs for fitness equipment

A suitable fitness equipment end cap neatly closes an open frame profile, tube, weight holder or other structural component. Our range includes rectangular, square, oval and round frame plugs, cover caps and rubber feet. Always check the shape, dimensions, mounting details and machine model before ordering.

What does an end cap do?

End caps close the open ends of metal profiles and tubes. They help cover sharp edges and openings and prevent dirt from easily entering the frame. Other caps protect a pulley, foam roller or moving joint, for example. The exact function therefore varies between components and fitness machines.

What is the difference between an end cap and a frame plug?

A frame plug is usually pushed into the open end of a profile. An end cap may instead fit over or against a component. There are also rubber feet that not only close an opening but support the machine and help prevent direct contact between the metal frame and the floor.

What size end cap do you need?

First measure the outside dimensions and shape of the frame profile where the cap will be fitted. A rectangular profile may be specified as 40 × 80 mm, for example, while round components are usually described by their diameter. Check the product information to see whether the stated measurement refers to the profile, the internal dimension or the end cap itself.

Are end caps universal?

Some simple frame plugs can be selected by shape and profile size, but many end caps are model-specific. Depth, wall thickness, retaining tabs and edge shape may differ. A cap with approximately the same dimensions may therefore not fit correctly or stay securely in place.

How do you find the right replacement end cap?

Where possible, search by brand, full model designation and original part number. Also compare the shape, colour, size and mounting method with the existing component. A photo of both the cap and the opening where it fits can help distinguish between different versions.

When should you replace an end cap or rubber foot?

Replace the component if it is cracked, deformed, loose or missing. A damaged rubber foot may make the machine less stable or allow the frame to touch the floor. Do not use fitness equipment if a missing component exposes sharp edges, causes instability or allows contact with moving parts.
